Dallas Cowboys Legend Roger Staubach Shares Deep-Seeded Faith

Check out this great story about a strong athlete with even stronger faith by Peter Elliot from EverydayChristian.com.

These are attention-grabbing days on the Dallas sports scene.

The Texas Rangers lead the American League Championship Series 3-2 over the New York Yankees and are on the cusp on their first World Series berth. Despite the Rangers success, plenty of attention is still focused on the stumbling 1-4 Dallas Cowboys, tabbed by many as a preseason Super Bowl favorite to play the game slated for their home stadium.

A Super Bowl champion in his own right, former Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach talked a little bit about the Cowboys to a suburban Baptist church Tuesday and even more about his deep-seeded faith.

“I accept that Jesus Christ is someone who is really going to give me another shot,” said Staubach, who is Catholic. “He died for all of us. He gave us a chance for salvation.”
