Good Friday Breakfast – A Story from the Cross from Matt Haff

We are set for White Fields Good Friday Breakfast at the Bistro Soul, Friday, April 22nd, 7am to 9am. Our speaker will be Matt Haff who will be sharing a powerful testimony of how God met him while serving a 6 year sentence in Folsom Prison.

Cost is $15 for a full buffet breakfast which also helps towards a small honorarium for our speaker. We need cash or check in advance to reserve spots as our venue has a maximum capacity of 70 men.  Don’t miss this great time of worship, testimony and fellowship on the day we celebrate our victory in the cross of Christ! For questions email LeoWisniewski.  Checks should be made payable to: White Fields Foundation and mailed to 8225 Peebles Road, PGH, 15237.

Matthew Haff is a former standout football player with the Boston College Eagles and North Allegheny High School where he won a state championship in 1990. At B.C. Matthew graduated in 4 years gaining his B.A. in Sociology. He was an integral part of Coach Tom Coughlin’s (currently NY Giants Head Coach) college success; winning three bowl games and one of college football’s all-time great upsets, beating then #1 Notre Dame in 1993. Matt ended his football career with a trip to the Professional Italian Football League’s Super Bowl. Matt’s father Hollis Haff (Currently the head Pastor at New Community Church in Wexford) was the AIA chaplain with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 70’s and 80’s. He has discipled many of our White Fields buddies such as Tunch Ilkin, Jon Kolb, and Craig Wolfley. Matt returned home to his native Pittsburgh last year after 6 years in prison. A stiff sentencing following a car accident had incarcerated him in two of California’s notorious prisons; Corchoran and Old Folsom State Prison.

Find out how this time behind bars became known to Matt as the Best 6 Years of His Life!  Simply, God is good and He has a plan for everyone…and by the way a sense of humor too!

April 20th – The Good Friday Breakfast is now full – we have no more seats available. Thanks to all who registered. We look forward to seeing you there!
