Sixteen couples celebrated their love and friendship with wine-tasting, live music, fellowship, and a fantastic meal in the charming atmosphere of The Priory Courtyard on a beautiful summer evening. Mr. Kim Costanza led our time playing several selections on the saxophone while weaving a message that focused on the need for husbands and wives to be nourished daily in their personal devotional life with Christ. “We cannot love one another in the deep and unconditional way that we need apart from the love of Christ. He is the stream of living water that flows from each of us when we are rooted in Him.”
Everyone commented on the enjoyable fellowship time mixing with new and old friends while sampling the wines or just sampling some appetizers. As we ate dinner we talked about how and why we fell in love with each other and the qualities that have been most evident in deepening that covenant bond in the present. We concluded the night with Brennan leading us in a re-commitment of our marriage vows to one another. One man said, “This was an awesome night. We need to do more events like this where we honor our wives and celebrate our marriages. The enemy is always at work to destroy them and we must be vigilant to fight for our marriages.” Special thanks to Walter and the staff of The Priory for an extraordinary meal and a most enjoyable evening.
