The White Fields Foundation (WFF) is thrilled to announce that Penn State’s legendary coach, Joe Paterno, will be our honoree at this year’s banquet in Pittsburgh. We will celebrate “A Night of Inspiration” at the East Club Lounge at Heinz Field on Saturday, February 13th from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. There will be a V.I.P. reception from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with dinner following. We will be gathering with many former PSU and Steelers players. Our tentative list includes: Jack Ham (’70, NFL H.O.F.), Steve Wisniewski (’88-Raiders, 8-time Pro Bowl), Matt Millen (’80-Raiders/ 49′ers, ESPN Color Analyst), Jeff Hartings (’94-Steelers), Tunch Ilkin (Steelers 75 Year Team, Radio Analyst), and many others from the Pittsburgh area. Tickets are $150 each or $1,500 per table of ten. Former PSU players Leo Wisniewski (’82-Colts) and Brennan Gaertner (’88) are serving at WFF as well as Mark Battaglia (’83) who recently joined the WFF Board. WFF is a Christian ministry focused on reaching people through monthly outreach events, small group discipleship meetings, mentoring young adults, and sports.We will utilize proceeds from the banquet to benefit the White Fields Foundation and our new partner, Meeting God in Missions. MGM is doing great work under the leadership of President, Jim McDonald, among the poor in the Dominican Republic. Both groups are registered 501 (c) 3 charitable organizations.
