Missionaries

Ney

Ney

Upon first meeting Ney, he professed to be a Christian, but was not living a life surrendered to God. Through the ministry of a few White Fields men, his eyes were opened to the truth of God’s Word, and he recommitted his life to Christ. Almost immediately, the change was evident. Ney left his home in the mountains and moved with his wife and two children to a small one-bedroom efficiency close to the town of Hato Mayor for the purpose of working in ministry. Now, he and his family live in a house that God provided for them through donations given to White Fields, and he oversees the ministry to the local people.

Ney has a beautiful heart for reaching people, and will often give resources that he needs himself to help others. He travels into the sugarcane fields several times a week, establishing relationships, discipling new believers, and discovering needs. He also is very active in his community, hosting a children’s Bible program once a week at, and conducting church services in his home. Currently, an addition is being built onto his house for the purpose of a pastor training school. Ney is our contact person in the Dominican Republic, and shares the needs he sees and hears about with us on a regular basis, as well as testimonies of what God is doing through the ministry there. Ney has been studying hard over the past three years, and will soon be ordained formally by the Christian and Missionary Alliance.

Justin and Jaqueline Crocker

Justin

Justin Crocker is currently responsible for strategic planning and coordination of Whitefields’ ministry efforts in Dominican Republic.  Following his graduation from college in 2005, he spent two years as a missionary in Cap-Haitien, Haiti and has spent the last four years in Dominican Republic both as a teacher of basic theology for the Christian & Missionary Alliance and as a leader of short-term missions teams for Meeting God in Missions.  Justin and his wife Jacqueline live in downtown Hato Mayor, where she works as a dentist and children´s pastor, and hosts a weekly television program for children.

Jacobo

Jacobo

Jacobo (pronounced hacobo) is a very prominent, influential man in his village, and used to play professional baseball. When we met Jacobo, he laughed at our message, though his family were all Christians and prayed continually for his salvation. We built a friendship with him as we continued to visit his village, but he continued to reject the message of the Gospel. On a subsequent trip, we heard from his son that God had done a work in his heart, and he was a Christian! Now, Jacobo is a faithful minister of God’s Word, and often spends his time visiting people one on one to share the Gospel. He has taken the initiative to work with the village children on a regular basis. It is very unusual for a Dominican man to be interested in reaching out to children, but he currently has about 60 or so children that come to his Bible lessons.

Jacobo and his wife have four children, and his oldest daughter will soon be graduating from medical school. She is also a Christian, and desires to return to her home village in the sugarcane fields with the hopes of opening and staffing a medical clinic. This would be a wonderful addition to the village, as everyone currently has to travel several hours to the city for any medical treatment.

Pepilo1

Pepilo

When we first met Pepilo over five years ago, he told us that he wanted to be a Pastor someday. At the time, we thought that was “nice”, but little did we know that God was going to call Pepilo into the mission work of White Fields Foundation! Pepilo is a joyful young man, very gentle and hard working. He is recently married and is looking forward to our first training session for the missionaries in January.

Octavio

Octavio

We met Octavio this past summer in the village of San Felipe. He is functioning as a pastor but has had very little formal training. Ney and Jacobo have been working with him for several months and have recommended him as our newest staff missionary. Praise God for new laborers!

We hope to have at least six full-time missionaries by year-end. Support for one man averages about $150 per month. Would you prayerfully consider sponsoring a missionary?
